What I think might be happening Mr D is that the board currently exists partly with the old files I restored after we had the blank page problem, and partly with the new files it wouldn’t let me delete or overwrite when I was restoring the old stuff. So there are a few cases where the old stuff doesn’t completely understand the references in the new stuff and returns errors like you can see in the searches Andy sent.

I’ve purged the cache twice tonight to clear all the temporary files, see if that made a difference - but it didn’t! I’ve also tried restoring the database backup again, but it’s not running through the whole restore process … it lets you press the start button, but then it seems to just not do anything. I tried a couple of different backups, the latest and the one before, and it was the same with both. The only other thing I can think to do here is upgrade it to the newest version.

I think the only way we’re going to have it working fully again is with the next update when both the files and the database are upgraded. So it’s up to you if you want me to try updating to the version we tried last week, or if you think we can carry on with a couple of quirks until the next version is out. I don’t mind which you want to do, I’ll happily sort either.

Dear Rob, having asked me not to write to you, I have observed your requests until today the 23rd of July. Matthew's birthday.
I have to ask your forgiveness for breaking my own undertaking not to do so, as a result today of my suddenly becoming aware of my inability to upload new material to the site. I can go through the motions of uploading work onto the main site, but when I check on the internet it hasn't uploaded anything. Nothing!.
I have tried a number of times to do so without success. The work which I started in the early 1990s is at a complete standstill. Further problems as you know have arisen in the functioning of the Oracle forum. I am at a dead end Rob, I need your help. in no way have I wronged you. Thou art my friend of many years. Our work is the saving of Planet Earth and its family of sentient beings.
Every time I have needed your help in the past you have always answered the call.
I have done nothing or said anything to cause you to withdraw your long time expert help. We have worked together over 20 years, Rob.
Why would you suddenly react in such a way? You are without doubt an absolutely necessary and amazing help to me in my creativity?.
Seriously Rob, what have I done to deserve this upset, and Dave D now 86 years old. The things you have done for me Rob?. Remember the recent wedding gift for my neighbour?. Also a few days ago you were going to sort out a T shirt with an osiris monogram for me.
So Rob please come to the house and use your enormous skill and profound intelligence to help your old friend in his God given work. work. I Can hardly walk but a few steps. I am confined to the house days at a time, unless helped by some good soul to go out.
Please Rob come and help me make my life bearable.
